Messiah Youth

grades 7 to 12 are welcome! Fridays 7:00pm to 8:45pm.

Youth are precious in God’s sight. They have a purpose in his plans. We believe they can be disciples of Jesus and walk faithfully with him.

Our vision for MessiahYouth is for it to be a group that helps Christian youth grow in Christian maturity, helps non-Christians come to faith in Jesus, practices Christian hospitality, and strengthens the bonds of affection between gospel-believing churches that would like to partner with us.

We gather weekly during the school term to enjoy Gospel-centered Bible teaching and learn to provide a reason for the hope that is within us while enjoying games, fellowship and prayer. Our youth leaders love the Lord and desire to see the youth grow in faith and in faithfulness.

Youth nights are held on Friday nights at St. Anthony’s School (391 Booth Street) or at Church of the Messiah’s office (315 Lisgar Street) as availability allows. In order to stay up to date, as gatherings are sometimes held elsewhere, please reach out to us to join our email list.

*Doors will be locked at 7:15 pm so please come on time!*

Every Friday, we meet to have fun, hear the Bible taught, and develop friendships while growing in the faith through discussion groups.

In Fall 2026, we will be exploring objections and responses to challenges against the Christian faith, as well as exploring our relationship with other Christian traditions as evangelical Protestants.

“Young [people], young [people], I wish you did but know the comfort of a conscience not burdened with a long list of youthful sins. These are the wounds that pierce the deepest. These are the arrows that drink up a man’s spirit. This is the iron that enters into the soul. Be merciful to yourselves. Seek the Lord early, and so you will be spared many a bitter tear.”

- J.C. Ryle in Thoughts for Young Men.
